Terms, Licence & Disclaimer
Terms of sale and licence for Turbomachinery Solutions documents, plus the legal notice and the technical disclaimer.
1. Legal notice
This website and the documents offered on it are published by Lightbulb Waves LLC, a limited liability company organised under the laws of the State of Texas, United States. Turbomachinery Solutions is a brand and trademark of Lightbulb Waves LLC. The domains turbomachinery.solutions, turbomachinery.consulting, turbomachinery.pro and turbomachinery.services are owned by Turbomachinery Consulting LLC and all lead to this website.
Contact: turbomachinery.consulting@outlook.com
2. Scope
These terms apply to the use of turbomachinery.solutions and to every purchase of handbooks, procedures, calculation sheets and other digital documents (“Documents”) from Lightbulb Waves LLC. By placing an order you accept these terms. Any different terms of the buyer apply only if we agree to them in writing.
3. Products and orders
Documents are digital files (PDF, DOCX and XLSX). Product descriptions, page counts and formats are indicative and may be updated. Items marked “Coming soon” are not yet available; a “Notify me” request is not an order.
Until online checkout is launched, orders and pre-orders are placed by email. A contract is concluded when we confirm your order in writing or send an invoice. Pre-ordered Documents are delivered on release; you may cancel a pre-order at any time before delivery and receive a full refund of any amount paid.
4. Prices and payment
Prices are shown on the site once confirmed, or quoted in our order confirmation. Unless otherwise stated, prices are in US dollars and exclude any VAT, GST or sales tax, which will be added where the law requires. Payment is due as stated on the invoice.
5. Delivery
Documents are delivered electronically, by a personal download link or email attachment sent to the address you give us. No physical goods are shipped.
6. Consumers and right of withdrawal
The Documents are intended for professional use. If you buy as a consumer resident in the EU, the EEA or the UK, you normally have a 14-day right of withdrawal. For digital content that is not supplied on a physical medium, this right ends once delivery begins, provided that you have given your express prior consent to immediate delivery and acknowledged that you lose your right of withdrawal. We will ask for this consent before sending the download. Your statutory rights in case of defective or non-conforming digital content are not affected.
7. Licence
Documents are licensed, not sold. On full payment, Lightbulb Waves LLC grants you a non-exclusive, non-transferable, perpetual licence to use the Document as follows:
- Standard licence — one named user. You may store the files on your own devices, print copies for your own work, and adapt editable procedures and calculation sheets for your own projects.
- Company or team licence — the number of users or the sites stated in the order confirmation.
- Procedures you adapt may be issued as project documents within the licensed project or organisation.
You may not resell, sublicense, share, publish, upload to public or shared repositories, or redistribute the Documents or substantial parts of them. You may not remove copyright notices, or remove the protection from calculation sheets in order to reuse their formulas in another product.
8. Updates and support
Corrections and revisions to the edition you bought are provided free of charge. A new edition may be offered separately. Questions about using a Document can be sent by email.
9. Copyright and trademarks
© 2026 Lightbulb Waves LLC. All rights reserved. The text, layout, graphics, Documents, calculation logic and images of this website are protected by copyright and other intellectual-property laws. No part may be reproduced without our prior written permission, except as allowed by the licence above or by mandatory law.
Turbomachinery Solutions is a trademark of Lightbulb Waves LLC. API is a trademark of the American Petroleum Institute and ASME is a trademark of The American Society of Mechanical Engineers. Other product and company names are the property of their respective owners. References to standards, manufacturers or equipment types are for identification only and do not imply endorsement or affiliation.
10. Disclaimer
The Documents are technical references and support tools for qualified, competent professionals. They do not replace, and must not be relied on in place of:
- applicable codes, standards and regulations;
- OEM manuals, instructions and technical bulletins;
- project specifications and approved procedures;
- site safety rules and permit-to-work systems;
- the judgement of the qualified engineer responsible for the work.
Where a Document conflicts with any of the above, the above takes precedence. Results from calculation sheets depend on the data you enter and must be checked before use. Nothing on this site is a professional engineering service, certification, stamp or approval. You remain responsible for how you apply the information.
11. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Documents and the website are provided “as is”, without warranties of any kind beyond those that cannot be excluded by law. Lightbulb Waves LLC is not liable for indirect or consequential loss, lost profits, production downtime or equipment damage arising from the use of the Documents. Our total liability for any claim relating to a Document is limited to the price paid for it. Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or any other liability that cannot be limited under applicable law, including mandatory consumer-protection law.
12. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, United States, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules. The United Nations Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods does not apply. If you are a consumer, you keep the protection of the mandatory laws of your country of residence.
13. Changes
We may update these terms. The version in force at the time of your order applies to that order.
